The National Assembly’s Ad Hoc Committee on Party Political Funding starts its proceedings today, and Notes from the House gets a taste of things to come with a preview of one of the possible public submissions, from the Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution.

President Jacob Zuma earlier this year hinted it should be illegal for land claimants to accept cash rather than opting for land to cultivate, yet Questions from Parliament reveal the latest figures on settled claims suggest he may have got this all wrong.
